Notice of Annual General Meeting Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at 11:00 AM Thunder Bay 55+ Centre (700 River Street, Thunder Bay)
Join us at the Annual General Meeting of the Thunder Bay-Superior North Conservative Association.
This event is FREE to attend if you're a member of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Registration opens at 10:30 AM. To participate in the meeting your membership must be active (not expired) and you must register at the door. If you are unsure of your membership status please call the Conservative Party of Canada at 1-866-808-8407.
The meeting will include the President's Report (on behalf of the EDA Board of Directors), the Financial Report, Campaign Report, and the election of the Board of Directors of the EDA for 2020-21. Copies of the Agenda and 2018 AGM Minutes (to be approved) will be provided at the AGM.
Nominations to the Board can be made from the floor, too. If you cannot make the AGM and intend to accept a nomination to the board and/or executive or have any questions, please email email@example.com.
The Conservative Party of Canada constitution provides that only members with active (not expired) memberships can participate in an AGM as candidates or voters.
The newly elected Board (maximum 30 directors) will elect the new Executive following the AGM. Executive positions available include:
- Financial Agent
- Membership Chair
- Communications Chair
- Election Readiness Chair
- Fundraising Chair
- Policy Chair
In order to be eligible to stand for election, or to vote at the AGM, you must either –
- hold a valid Conservative Party of Canada membership twenty-one (21) days prior to the AGM. OR
- have held a membership within the previous 90 days, AND renew at the door, prior to the call to vote.
Identification will be required to register. Bring one (1) piece of current photo ID or two (2) pieces of ID that together show your name, current address and photo.
